In the winter of 2020, the updated Volkswagen Atlas, known in our market as Teramont, debuted at the International American Automobile Show in Chicago.

The interior has a new multifunction steering wheel, a virtual dashboard, as well as an upgraded multimedia system. The manufacturer did not increase the size of its screen and left an eight-inch diagonal.
The equipment list has changed. So, already in the basic configuration, buyers are waiting for an automatic braking system that can detect pedestrians. The manufacturer has finalized the logic of the functioning of the radar cruise control. SPECIFICATIONS
The power palette of the Volkswagen Atlas has remained unchanged. The base engine is a two-liter turbocharged inline four with 238 horses. Older models get a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 with low block camber. He, in turn, is able to develop 280 forces.
After restyling, the manufacturer added new combinations of technical stuffing and equipment. So, for the base motor, a plug-in all-wheel drive system is now available. It is based on the fifth generation Haldex multi-plate clutch. Moreover, this engine will become available for more expensive modifications. Previously, it was offered only in the first three versions.
DIMENSIONS
The Volkswagen Atlas is a large SUV with three rows of seats. After installing new bumpers, he added 75 mm. From now on, the car is 5111 mm long, 1989 mm wide, 1769 mm high and 2979 mm between the wheelsets.
Ground clearance is a solid 203 millimeters. The model is built on the mass modular platform MQB. The engine is located at the front, along with McPherson struts, and at the rear - a multi-link system. Pneumatic elements are not provided, only steel springs.
