Exterior
If you carefully study the photos of the Skoda Octavia A4 until 2004 and those that were produced with the prefix Tour, then you won’t be able to find anything new in the exterior details. It is understandable, the design bureau at that time was already busy working on restyling the second generation.
In general, the appearance of the "Tour" never caused rave reviews, however, even in 2010, the design was quite in the spirit of the time: smooth roof lines, a strict front part, swift lines on the sides, original rims, a raised stern, a recognizable radiator grill , modest body kit architecture - driving such a car even in 2020 is definitely not shameful.
The current dimensions of the Skoda A4 station wagon (liftback is 6 mm shorter and 16 mm lower):
Interior
Inside the Octavia A4, the situation is not as rosy as it is outside. A torpedo, chairs, a tunnel, a center console - everything gives out the age of the model. Plus, let's not forget that from 2000 to 2010, the design did not change from the word at all.
There is no multi-steering wheel in the Octavia A4. The entire torpedo is made in the "Vag" plastic of those years. The center console involves the installation of a car radio. The dashboard is hidden under a small visor and glows green when the key is turned.
The chairs are pretty basic. High-quality fabrics are used for sheathing, which easily survive 10 years of active use. Separately, it is worth highlighting the RS-armchairs. Eco-leather and a sports profile with fixed headrests and developed lateral support are already used here.
In terms of roominess, the Skoda Octavia A4 often gets complaints about modest rear legroom. In the next generation, this matter was corrected, but the Tour inherits the "sore" in this regard. But there are legends about the capacity of the trunk. The liftback offers 528 hp. usable volume (1328 liters with a folded sofa), and the station wagon 548/1512 liters.
In recent years, 2-zone climate control and heated front seats have already been added to the package. But with security throughout the entire time, progress was not observed. The staff offered:
Everything that could be said about the Octavia A4 has already been said on automotive forums. From that layer of first-hand information, both positive and negative points can be noted. The first ones include:
The negative sides of the Skoda A4 are also present. Often mentioned: poor sound insulation, unusable winter package, long warm-up, cramped rear, outdated interior, poor equipment, few all-wheel drive options and frequent electrical problems.
