Engines

The EA888 engine series is one of the most common. To date, there are already three generations of these engines. These are engines with an engine capacity of 1.8-2 liters equipped with a direct fuel injection system and a turbocharger. In addition to the prevalence of this series can be described as the most problematic. If the problem of carbon formation is inherent in any engine with direct fuel injection, then in this series, the problems of a timing chain drive, variable intake manifold geometry, coolant pump, oil starvation, etc. are added to it. The list of problems is endless, but the main problem is increased oil consumption. According to factory standards, the consumption should not exceed 0.5 liters per thousand kilometers, but in most cases the consumption is several times higher than the norm. Engines CDAB, CDAA were installed on cars: VW Golf 6.

Petrol engine 1.4 TSI (CZCA, CZDA, CZEA) Engines 1.4/92 kW and 1.4/110 kW TSI (CZCA, CZDA, CZEA) are supplied by VAG to VW Jetta 6 (AV3, 16) vehicles.

The most pressing problem in turbocharged engines is the occurrence of overblowing. This is especially true for diesel engines. the formation of soot in the exhaust gases leads to its rapid accumulation inside the turbine and wedging of the geometry.
