Please note that there are different designs for connecting the fuel lines to the fuel filter.
Green = pressure fuel line.
Blue = fuel return line.
Arrows point in the direction of fuel flow.
1 - Nozzles
2 - Throttle
3 - Fuel pressure sender -G247- possible reuse
4 - Fuel rail
5 - Fuel pressure regulator -N276-
6 - High pressure pump Fuel metering valve -N290-
7 - Fuel temperature sender -G81- its presence depends on the ecological class
8 - Fuel filter
9 - Fuel tank with fuel pre-supply pump -G6-
Filling the fuel system with fuel/bleeding air from the fuel system
In order to prevent the operation of the high-pressure fuel pump (exceptionally strict tolerances of parts) in the dry friction mode after replacing parts and to ensure a quick start of the engine, it is necessary
be sure to observe/observe the following:
If any parts/components have been removed or replaced in the area of the fuel system between the fuel tank and the high pressure pump, the fuel system must be filled with fuel/air from the fuel system before the engine is started for the first time.
To fill the injection pump with fuel, the following procedure must be followed:
The car must be filled.
– Connect the diagnostic tester.
– Turn on the ignition and select the item in the tester menu:
Bleeding air from the fuel system
The fuel pump turns on.
Let the fuel pump run for about 3 minutes to ensure that the injection pump is filled with fuel.
– After filling the fuel system, start the engine.
– Let the engine run at medium speed for a few minutes and then switch it off again.
– Check fuel system for leaks.
– Delete entries in the event log using the tester.
– Then carry out a test drive with at least one acceleration with the accelerator pedal fully depressed.
– Then check the tightness of the high-pressure circuit again.
If there is still air in the fuel system, the engine may go into emergency operation during a test drive. Turn off the engine and delete entries from
event recorder. Then continue the test drive.
– Delete entries in the event log using the tester.
Volkswagen vehicles are renowned for their reliability, and the Golf is no exception. However, the seventh generation Golf still has a few annoying "sores". Let's list them:
1. Problems with DSG. The robotic automatic transmission Golf 7 in the first years after the release of the car went to car owners with great inconvenience. There were a large number of complaints about jerking when switching, jerking, failure of the mechatronics design, wear on the clutch discs. However, the manufacturer has gradually eliminated the defects, and DSG problems have become much less common, often at high mileage.
2. Breakdown of the turbine. Another exceptional and special case of a car. Especially if the turbine works in conjunction with a 1.4 engine and often likes to “sink” in a taxi.
3. Knocks in the rear suspension. Happy owners of a multi-link rear suspension for emergencies on a strut in the rear suspension when driving over small bumps (ironing board, etc.). At the same time, knocks were heard from the rear of the car, the nature of which was not fully understood.
4. Corrosion of the bottom and body parts. Unfortunately, the Golf 7 cannot boast of the indestructibility of the body, which, for example, the VW Golf 2 had. The seventh used Golf detects corrosion of the bottom, and the joints of the wings with bumpers and sills are also problematic places. When buying a used Golf 7, special care is needed when inspecting the body, arches, sills, wings, bottom, glasses for rust and only emerging foci of transfer.
5. Incorrect operation of the fuel level sensor. The problem may be caused by a manufacturing defect of the part, or poor quality fuel.
Volkswagen Golf II reviews
Motorists are very flattering about the seventh Golf. On various sites with reviews about this Volkswagen model, you can find dozens of reviews, the vast majority of which are positive. The average rating for a car is about 95% out of 100 possible - very high. We will tell you what the pros and cons are noted by experienced owners of Golf 7.
Pros:
1. Compactness, small dimensions. Easy to park, the car is nimble on the road.
2. Frisky motor with a turbine, excellent acceleration.
3. Economical fuel consumption.
4. Comfortable salon Golf 7.
5. Comfortable seats.
6. High ground clearance.
7. Interior equipment.
8. Build quality.
9. Spacious interior.
10. Excellent sound insulation.
11. High reliability.
Now let's describe the cons that sound most often in reviews of Golf 7:
1. Turbine and motor do not live long when driving dynamically on a 1.4 engine.
2. Capricious automatic transmission DSG.
3. Expensive service.
4. Small trunk.
5. The high cost of the car in the secondary market.
6. Outwardly, the car looks modest for the money.
As you can see, the car has many more advantages. However, there are also very fat minuses - this is a constant concern for small turbocharged engines and DSG - these most important components of the VW Golf 7 have a reputation for not being the most reliable.
